Freeing Avaro is an undeniable victory—proof that you can free the other Leviathans without killing them and proof that the land can heal. To the corruption, he is an acceptable loss. There’s no way they will let Besile go so easily.

Overview

Chapter 2 will focus on freeing Ilya’s precious love, Besile, from the corruption’s holds and grant you additional boons as you continue your journey toward freeing The World and ultimately returning home. Free more Leviathans, embark on riskier excursions for better rewards, and gain Favor with the Leviathans for additional power.

We anticipate this chapter will last around two months, but it may take more or less time depending on how quickly things develop. We will announce the official end date ~two weeks before chapter’s end. It will cover between 1-2 months of in-game time, again depending on how quickly things develop.

  • Participate in Thread Roulette when venturing into the Plains to work with random muses, uncover clues, and discover where Besile is being held

  • Confront Besile to free her from the Corruption’s hold

Summary

• In the immediate aftermath of freeing Avaro, many Outlanders question the newly freed Leviathan but get no answers, nor do they gain access to his boons. Only Genya Shinazugawa, who does a Task for him, his granted the power of earth.
• Henry of Skalitz and Izuku Midoriya fight over comments made about Katsuki Bakugou’s character. Katsuki and Henry then run into one another hunting for Sif and resolve some of the tension between them as a result.
• Spike and Drusilla kill a human for the first time, drinking deeply from Tyril I. Lister until he dies. Although he can’t remember what happened, a couple of Outlanders put the pieces together and figure out they’re the ones at fault.
• The Salt Flats slowly begins to heal itself of corruption now that its Warden has been freed. However, the rivers continue to run pink, polluted with rot.
  • Sif continues to lurk in the biome, almost as if the corruption is keeping tabs on the Outlanders.
  • After much exploring, a set of Stone Arches is found, much like the Stone Circle at which everyone arrives. Its lodestar is activated, and the map of a Salt Flats begins to update in the journal.
