Freeing Avaro is an undeniable victory—proof that you can free the other Leviathans without killing them and proof that the land can heal. To the corruption, he is an acceptable loss. There’s no way they will let Besile go so easily.

Overview

Chapter 2 will focus on freeing Ilya’s precious love, Besile, from the corruption’s holds and grant you additional boons as you continue your journey toward freeing The World and ultimately returning home. Free more Leviathans, embark on riskier excursions for better rewards, and gain Favor with the Leviathans for additional power.

We anticipate this chapter will last around two months, but it may take more or less time depending on how quickly things develop. We will announce the official end date ~two weeks before chapter’s end. It will cover between 1-2 months of in-game time, again depending on how quickly things develop.

Goals of Chapter 2

• Reveal the Salt Flats map
• Convince Avaro to impart his boons on Outlanders
• Free Besile from the Corruption

  • Make preparations to venture into the Plains, whether that’s preparing provisions or gathering intel
• Thread Roulette
  • Participate in Thread Roulette when venturing into the Plains to work with random muses, uncover clues, and discover where Besile is being held
• Leviathan Battles
  • Confront Besile to free her from the Corruption’s hold
