Overview

Upon taking in your surroundings, you find a small leather-bound journal hanging from your belt. It’s tied closed with a long, thin leather cord and contains many blank pages of supple paper, clearly made by hand. Inside the front cover is a thicker piece of parchment folded over into quarters.

Journal Mechanics

This journal seems attuned to you. Its pages fill with your thoughts automatically, the handwriting clearly matching your own though you never pick up a utensil to write in it. This gift from The World will help you as you explore and learn more about your purpose here.

There is a forum channel for #journals in the server. Make a thread for your muse and use the journal how they would. Write letters, keep notes, draw pictures, etc. The journal is meant to be creative and flexible, so have fun with it!

You can cross things out, but you can’t erase or write over previous pages.
The journal has roughly 200 pages total.
Ripping out a page will cause another to grow back in its place.

The Map

Though mostly blank, the folded-over parchment appears to be a map with the Stone Circle marked as a point of interest. As you begin to explore the world, the map automatically updates with places you have been.

The map expanding is shared among all Outlanders. If one person goes out exploring, the map updates for all.
You are able to add markers to the map. By concentrating on a location, the marker will be added.
Active Lodestars appear on the map by default. Check out the Lodestar page for more information on teleportation.
