This setting is largely inspired by games like Valheim, Enshrouded, and the like. The most exciting things about those settings are being able to get out there and explore the open world available to you. You are able to do just that in this group, and this page will tell you how.

“I Want To…”

There may come a time you want to do something minor, or you want to do something that seems reasonable and want to make sure it's possible. There's no reason to open an excursion for these types of small actions or investigations. All you need to do is go into the #i-want-to channel and explain what you want to do. A mod will respond one of two ways:

If it is reasonable, we will tell you the results of your attempt.
If it is something difficult or requires special skills, we may ask you to make a roll to determine the level of success.

Some examples of good things to use the #i-want-to channel for include:

“I want to build an axe so I can reliably cut wood for the camp”
“I want to find a way to create rope to bind things together”
“I want to explore the area around the camp for any signs of a river”
“I want to use a power I have to build a better shelter”

Excursions

The World is vast and open and available to you. However, since there are no NPCs and no written lore to learn more about it, it's up to your own curiosity to explore it. You can do just that by embarking on an excursion.

What is an excursion?

An excursion is exactly what it sounds like: a trip out into The World around you. Often it means the following:

You will be gone from your central camp for a minimum of five in-world days and up to one in-world month
You need to prepare provisions for the journey to ensure your survival
You may face significant threats out in the wilderness
